Step 1. Install Software in Your Pc

Once Rufus is downloaded, go to the downloads section and double click on it. its ready to use.

Step 2. Connect Pendrive / USB Drive with your Computer.

Here “Device” may show “ESD-ISO(D:)32GB”. Your USB drive name will show like this, which means USB is connected to the computer.

Step 3.Select ISO file

In the second column, press the select button in the boot selection and attach it to where your ISO file is.

Step 4.Select MBR or GPT

MBR (Master Boot Record) and GPT (GUID Partition Table) are the types of partitioning the memory (SSD or HDD). I will not go into too much technical details in this blog. Just keep in mind that MBR works in BIOS system and GPT works in UEFI BIOS.

But how will you know which option to select MBR or GPT?

 

Option 1:-

Right click on my computer click manage then click disk Management or Press Win+X Click on disk Management. Select Drive below and right click – properties-volume. Here you will find MBR or GPT

Option 2:-

press Win+R then type cmd press enter.You have come to the command prompt. Now type diskpart press enter then type list disk. You will find GPT at last. If you find * below GPT then it is GPT otherwise it is MBR. In my case there is no star below the GPT its means I have to select MBR in Rufus software if i want to install Windows in this PC.

Step 5:- Final Step

Let the target system remain by default and keep NTFS in the file system. Let the cluster size also remain as it is by default. Now press the Start button. After 5-7 minutes of processing the bootable pendrive is ready to use.

There can be many reasons, like the bootable device is not created correctly, the BIOS boot order is not correct, or the USB port is disabled in the BIOS, corrupt ISO file, GPT and MBR format can be the reason, apart from this there can be many other reasons also.
