The AI Foundation Model is a very large Machine Learning Model which is capable of understanding the input or combination of input and giving output by processing it.
In simple words, AI Foundation is trained in such a way that it can perform not just one task but different complex tasks. Like you must have used ChatGpt sometime or the other.
Once the foundation is made, it can be used for any specific task, like you might have seen in AI tool that creates an image just by using a prompt.
This model will be able to process almost all the languages of India. This foundation model will be trained on petabytes of data which will be on Indian languages.
The India AI Mission 2025 the Government of India’s main focus on to make it Cheap and every citizen of the country, irrespective of his profession, be it Engineer, Doctor, Farmer, Student or Businessman can use it in their own language and it should be based on Indian local data which can be understood very easily.

Many Indian and global companies and startups submit proposals to Indian government. These companies have proposed to the Indian Government to prepare Large Language Models (LLM) and Small Language Models (SML) focus on agriculture , finance , healthcare and education. These include:-

- CoRover.ai(LLM , SSM)
- Krutrim(Ola)(LLM , SSM)
- TechMahindra(SLM)
- BharatGen Consortium(SLM)
45 proposals are on the SLM for Education , Healthcare , Agriculture and 22 proposals are on the LLM for developed Multimodel Models.

We hope that Indian Government will soon shortlist capable companies and start this India AI Mission 2025 .Indian Government will support to develop 10000+ GPU infrastructure, financial and technical support for shortlisted companies.
